The Shannon Henretty Memorial Twilight Meet & 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run will be held on Tuesday, October 20 on the Greenspring campus. Participants will be honoring the life of Shannon Henretty, a 2014 nursing graduate, who passed away at the age of 23. A collegiate level meet will take place beginning at 4:00 p.m. followed by a 1 mile walk/fun run to benefit the Shannon Henretty '14 Scholarship Fund, opened to all, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
"Shine Like Shannon" t-shirts are available to purchase prior to the event (see photos below). "Shine Like Shannon" is a motto developed by Shannon's friends and family to capture the love and kindness she shared with the world.
Family and friends are working to keep Shannon's legacy alive and vibrant on the Stevenson campuses through various events and with a newly created scholarship fund. Shannon is remembered for the joy she brought to those around her. She was there for family, friends, and strangers alike. To honor Shannon's memory, family and friends are raising money to support the Shannon Henretty '14 Scholarship Fund. This scholarship will benefit nursing majors with financial need who embody Shannon's passion to serve others.
