The Shine Like Shannon Memorial Walk will be held on Saturday, September 8 on the Greenspring campus. Participants will be honoring the life of SU alumna, Shannon Henretty, a nursing graduate from the Class of 2014.
Stevenson will host high school and collegiate level meets that day beginning at 9:00 a.m. Following the last race (SU women's cross country), all are welcome to participate in a walk to benefit a Stevenson University scholarship fund honoring Shannon's memory.
SCHEDULE:
- High School Meet: 9:00 a.m.
- Collegiate Cross Country Meet: 11:30 p.m. (men), 12:30 p.m. (women)
- Shine Like Shannon Walk Registration and Check-in: 1:00-1:30 p.m.
- Shine Like Shannon Walk: 1:30 p.m.
- Ice Cream Social: 2:00 p.m.
Family and friends are working to keep Shannon's legacy alive and vibrant on the Stevenson campuses. To honor her memory, members of the SU community and beyond continue raising money to support the recently endowed Shannon Henretty '14 Endowed Scholarship Fund. This scholarship benefits nursing majors with financial need who embody Shannon's passion to serve others.
